A Partner of Einbinder & Dunn, Julianne Cowan Lusthaus has been practicing law since 1996. She is an active member of the American Bar Association Forum on Franchising, the International Franchise Association, the New York State Bar Association, the Westchester Women's Bar Association and the Brooklyn Women's Bar Association.
Lusthaus has been asked to share her insights in the area of franchise law multiple times for the American Bar Association Forum on Franchising, the New York State Bar Association, at the International Franchise Association Legal Symposium and in videos and podcasts for the website All Business.
Much of her practice involves representation of women franchise owners in New York and nationwide. She understands the issues that affect women business owners and has earned a reputation as a forceful advocate for women.
Women face unique challenges in the business world, but they also bring tremendous strengths — unique ideas for business ventures, leadership sensibilities and an unparalleled competitive drive. We recognize these strengths for what they are. That is why, at Einbinder & Dunn, Lusthaus regularly works with female clients who seek her services as an attorney. She guides them through all aspects of franchise law, including the acquisition and management of their franchise businesses in a full range of industries. In addition, Lusthaus provides legal services to franchisor clients seeking to form and expand their franchise systems.
This is a significant part of the value offered by Einbinder & Dunn in matters involving franchise law — an area in which the firm has earned a national reputation for its work on behalf of both franchisors and franchisees. An increasing number of our clients are women and we view their business successes as our own.
